This indenture made and entered into this the twelfth day of November in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty between Jacob Chastain of the one part William Sutherland and James Keith of the other part _____ sells that for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and twenty five dollars to me in hand paid by said Sutherland and Keith the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and released and conveyed unto the said Sutherland & Keith all my claim and interest in two tract of land the one part containing two hundred and seventy acres originally granted to George Hudson the second day of April seventeen hundred and ninety eight situated lying and being in originally Pendleton District now Pickens District on Water of Woolenoy creek waters of Saluda River bounded by lines running SE and NE by said George Hudson land all this sided by vacant land. The other tract containing one hundred and forty eight acres situated lying and being in originally the Distric of ninety six now Pickens District on Canock? creek waters of Woolenoy creek waters of Saluda River commencing on a stake NE 60:50 thence to post oak thence to 12:10 N 50 to ____thence to a post oak S 8:10 W 19 to a red oak S 72 E 65 Spanish oak S 13 last post oak E 60 to stake S W 10:14 to a pine S 43 E 35 to a post oak thence to the beginning stake. To have and to hold all and singular the wrights members and appertenances the _____ ongoing or in anywise appertaining thereunto their heirs and ____ in fee simple and the said Jacob Chastain will warrant and forever defend the wrights _____ members and appurtenances to the said Sutherland and Keith against the wrights _____ claims or claims of any and all other persons whomsoever with the exception of so much as he's been conveyed to John Steel by George Hutson from the Hutson Survey. Also so much as he's been conveyed by said George Hutson to Edward Chastain. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and subscribed my seal the day and date above written.

J. B. Sutherland appears personally before me L. Hendrick a acting magistrate and after being duly sworn as this law is such cases sayeth he saw Jacob Chastain sign seal and deliver this written deed of conveyance to the written named Wm Sutherland and James Keith for the uses _____ therein mentioned and that L. Hendricks was with himself a subscribing writings to the same. I warrant and subscribed before me this 20th day of November 1850

Hendricks one of the Justices of the ______ for the District and State aforesaid do hereby certify unto all whom it may concern that Nancy Chastain the wife of the written named Jacob Chastain did this day appear before me and upon being _____ and separately examined by me did declare that she ___ freely and ______ and without any compulsion dread or fear of any person or from any whomsoever ____ and releases forever relinquish unto the written Wm. Sutherland and James Keith ____ and assign all her ________ and estate and also all her rights and slaim of dower of in as to all and singular the _____ within mentioned and released (_____) November 20 1850.
