Know all men by these presents That I Hembree MOORE of the State and District aforesaid for and in The consideration of the Sum of one hundred and Sixty five dollars to me paid in hand by Nancy S. CHASTAIN of the above named State and District have granted bargained Sold and delivered and by these presents do bargain and Sell unto Said Nancy S. CHASTEEN an lot or tract of land being on both Sides of Snow Creek waters of Co__e_g_ it being waters of Keowee River being in District and State aforesaid it being part an tract of land conveyed to Jeremiah DERBY by Col. John C. KILPATRICK on the nineteenth day of June Eighteen hundred and thirteen together with Seventeen Acres of land attached from off the tract of land where an John A. MOORE lives at this time known as the Saw Mill tract or lot of land the whole containing Sixty Six Acres Joining land of John A. MOORE and myself Hembree MOORE beginning on an Stake Corner on the North Side of the Creek running to an post oak corner near the mouth of Said Hembree MOORE's land at this time from the post oak in an Straight line near the new fence in the Same direction until it Strikes the Creek above the bend and corner on other bank of Said Creek on an Red oak Corner made by said MOORE and said CHASTEEN then turned across the land near an Square over to John A. MOORE line to an post oak Corner made new on Said John A. MOORE line thence with John A. MOORE line eastwardly to an Stake Corner west of the Cabbin then with Said line eastward of Said Cabbin to an Spanish oak Corner then running to the beginning Stake Corner Together with all and singular the rights members Hereditaments and appurtenances to the said premises before mentioned unto the Said N. S. CHASTEEN forever and I bind myself my heirs executors and administrators to warrant and defend forever all and singular to Said N. S. CHASTEEN her heirs executors assigns and administrators the above premises named against myself my heirs assigns executors and administrators and against every other person or persons whosoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof in Whitness whereof I set my hand and Seal this Sixth day of Sept in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one.
